Updated version of ‘Guidance for best practice for treatment of human remains excavated from Christian burial grounds in England’, published jointly by English Heritage and the Church of England. 2017. Advisory Panel on the Archaeology of Burials in England (APABE) has now produced a fully revised edition of the guideline. This contains completely re-written sections on Ecclesiastical Law (authored by the Church of England) and Secular Burial Laws (authored by the Ministry of Justice).
